homemade sweet potato fries
In effort to make more quick, healthy and easy meals for my little, i’ve decided to share a few fan favorites. Kicking off this series, we’re starting with some homemade sweet potato fries. Under 30 mins to make and can be paired with any protein they like.
Ingredients:
2 small to medium size sweet potatoes
olive oil
onion powder
garlic powder
baking soda
blackened seasoning (no salt)
favorite dipping sauce for pairing
cut up sweet potatoes.
kids love fries, so when cooking, I do my best to mirror new food items as close as I can to things they love.
drizzle with olive oil.
drizzle enough olive oil to coat the fries for seasoning and baking.
season your fries.
no measurements here, add decent amount of onion and garlic powder, blackened seasoning and baking soda for crispiness.
spread fries on baking sheet.
if time is limited, spread fries out on baking sheet and place in the oven for 10-15 mins on broil. Be sure to monitor as they will crisp quickly.
lets eat.
after cooling, serve to little with protein and favorite dipping sauce.
